The Wandering

Working to other country, wandering from one place to another, though somewhat complicated, but I have learned it add knowledge, an experience to cherish every now and then. The journey through it molded me and paved my way that each day it provides me an idea to capture and value each moment. It may be bad or good. All of it were and will be part of life’s fraction. An opportunity to face oneself struggle to survive the world’s reality.

DO YOU KNOW?....

LAST SUNDAY NIGHT MY STUDENT IN MY TUTORIALS "FERN" WITH HER FAMILY ASK ME, ATE VENUS AND KUYA ALAN TO EAT DINNER OUTSIDE. AFTER THAT, WE WENT TO "LOTUS"- A KNOWN SUPERMARKET HERE IN THAILAND, TO BUY SOME GROCERIES. I PLAN TO BUY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, BUT I DIDN'T. ALTHOUGH I SAW CHRISTMAS TREES INSIDE AND A FEW CHRISTMAS DECORS AND A CHRISTMAS LIGHT IN ONE CHRISTMAS TREE! DO YOU KNOW THAT THEY DON'T SELL CHRISTMAS LIGHTS YET AND EVEN CHRISTMAS TREE TOO? ONLY DISPLAYS!!! "YANG MAI MA", THEY SAID. IT MEANS TO SAY THEY DON'T HAVE IT YET.
THAT'S JUST ONE OF THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THAILAND AND PHILIPPINES OR TO ANY CHRISTIAN COUNTRY (FYI) WHEN IT COMES ON HOW DO WE CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS SEASON. I SELDOM SEEN CHRISTMAS LIGHTS HERE IN MY PROVINCE . WELL, CONSIDERING THAILAND IS 90% BUDDHIST. THAT'S WHY YOU WON'T FEEL CHRISTMAS SEASON MUCH HERE. COUNTING THE DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS MAKES ME MISS EVERYBODY OUT THERE. HOW MUCH MORE, WE HAVE CLASSES ON CHRISTMAS DAY!!! WELL I JUST SEEM TO MISSED HOME ALREADY, THOUGH I JUST SPENT MY VACATION LAST OCTOBER. ANYHOW, I HAVE CHRISTMAS SONGS EVERY MORNING I GET UP FROM SLEEP. HEHEHE.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL!!!

Extraordinary Days

On special occasions, we make it to a point to celebrate it in special place too. The beaches are our favorite choice, for us to remember and cherish it that we spent in an extraordinary way from our ordinary days as teachers here in Thailand. That’s only when it falls on a long weekend. But if we got only weekend, especially birthdays we just spent it in Bangkok’s finest restaurants and places to enjoy. Thailand has got a lot of scenic beaches, to mention some of it I’ve been:
1 Samyan Beach, Rayong Mommy Nancy Casador’s birthday September 16, 2005
2 Koh Samed Beach, Rayong New Year's January 1, 2006
3 Jomtien Beach, Pattaya Mother’s Day May 12, 2006
4 Hua Hin Beach New Year’s Day January 1, 2007
5 Pathong Beach, Phuket just celebrated Thailand’s New Year “Songkran Festival” last April 14-16 2007. It was great holiday I've been. Looking forward on the next beach...

Keeping Busy

Lately, I’ve been busy from my spare times to get rid from thinking to some of the things that keeps on bothering me from the regrets of my pasts which isn’t healthy anymore to think of it over and over again. I thought of how to deal with it, thought of some way things out. I felt it’s not going to be over if I get myself stagnant in one place, thinking of “what if” and blaming myself from frustrations and disappointments. Well, “keeping myself busy” will help me a lot I guess, and I find it’s kind of therapeutic! And always think on a bright side rather than the lost vanished darkness of the past. Since second semester is over though we still have our summer class at present but summer is not that as busy days as our regular class last school year.

Busy from my spare times like:
1) My sister Lala was able to downloaded our most favorite series (Grey’s Anatomy) from Limewire website!!! It’s amazing you know, it’s an opportunity for us who don’t have cable tv network to watch such compelling popular tv series and we just watched it for about 20 hours more for only one season! Though it takes about 2 hours for one episode to download and burn it but it’s worth the wait! We finished watching the 3 seasons and we’re waiting for the 4th season whom people in US are passionately waiting of what’s it going to be the next big thing to happen, and so are we too! Thanks for the technology nowadays.
2) Thanks for the technology. Why? Because, I just thought of what we are embracing now here at home which far from inet cafe and pay for it. Being resourceful. Lala is the most resourceful for us here. She taught us how to connect through wireless inet, used a bluetooth wireless inet connection and pay for 40baht. They call it here as gprs unlimited 24 hours for 40 baht only. You just need to call for an operator and have them deducted from your mobile phone account the 40baht nd so thus you have just been activated connected wireless for 24 hrs!!! She just got that from her students in tutorials, that telephone company here are offering that kind of promotion. Then, lately the three of them (Bing-bing, Orlan and Lala can do a wireles network connection (peer to peer) - they have their own laptop). Then Lala just bought a DVD player with USB. Since it takes time to burn the downloaded Grey's Anatomy in a dvd, we use a USB flash drive instead and have it connected in DVD player and there we watched the saved tv series in a USB flash drive!!! Not only the Grey's but some mtv of the latest singers and latest karaoke nowadays.

3) While waiting for the 4th season of Grey’s, at present, we are watching the DVD tv series (compliments from Mary Ann Duco), like House M.D. 3 seasons, Nip Tuck 4 seasons, Lost 2 seasons, complete seasons of Friends and Alias, Will and Grace, Prison Break, Boston Legal 3 seasons. Thanks gid Ann ha… you light up our spare times!!! I sometimes take it with me some of this DVDs at home in province and continue watch it there.

4) I’m making lesson plans too for my summer class. That’s when I have vacant during weekdays and have chance to inet surfing and find and make friends from friendster or make blogs and upload pictures. Just like what Im doing here in blogspot.com.

5) Happy to be with my family here in Thailand, my sister Lala, my cousins Bing-Bing and Smile and our adopted brother Orlando. Also my extended family, like my Filipino and Thai friends, my students and my colleagues., Happy from wandering around Thailand and being treated very kindly, they’re really are a warmhearted kind persons. Well I guess all of it are blessings. It is indeed are. A peaceful blessed country.
6) Since we do have one week vacation from April 9-16 and it’s Thailand’s New Year’s Day (Songkran Festival April 13-16) we will go to one of Thailand’s finest beaches Pathong,Phuket Beaches.

Though sometimes, I can’t help myself from thinking of the loss I gained, somehow, I find myself on how to deal with it. It’s really a reality that things are really do happening not only to me but I think it is happening and will happen to each and everyone of us. I am in this level on how to go on and deal with it. Lately, I’ve been thinking on all the aspects of life and it made me correlate it to the reality of life. Like life is like any of the competitions it may be in arts or in sports. Athletes or players are preparing for the best to be the best and be a winner, like in running competition, you may have that skills but risks like you may stumble down, but because you want to win you will get up and continue running you may be left behind but if you believe you will win you will do what it takes, but since you fall and some didn’t, they will gain and definitely you will loose. But loosing the game won’t stop there, just continue running and finish it. You may be the last, the thing is, you still manage to run. There’s still a second time around. Practice, practice, believe in "practice makes perfect". Go on, take another running strategy and take whatever inescapale inexhorible mysteries of life. Just deal with it, run, run, run for your life. Once, you may be that slow at the beginning but if you do practice and deal with it over and over again, you will be at your best, we may stumble and fall, but the thing is, running your own life and learn from downfall and success will lead you to become a greater person from the least person you thought you are. It’s being able to overcome the loss and gain triumph. That's just what life has to offeer. Life is complicated indeed. But of course believe in yourself be strong, learn from mistakes and accept downfalls, whatever it takes, treasure everything. All are for us to appreciate that life has many things for us to offer and whatever it is, all of it are blessings. Believe in everything, believe in yourself, just be optimistic, but most of all believe in the power if PRAYERS. Thus everything will turn out to be fine in God's plan.
P.S. Thanks for my family and friends out there in Philippines for all the support. Even just for phone calls or through inet chats, they all fill the gap they fill the distance. I MISSED AND I LOVE YOU ALL

Coming home

Coming home is such a fulfilling amazing time. Spending time with my family last October 9 to October 28 was great. October was such a timing for me and my sister Lala who is teaching here too, since we celebrated major occassions. First, October 9 we surprised Nanay on her birthday. Our sisters and our relatives knew that we're going home on that day, except Nanay, Lolo Iko, Lola Tilde, Aunt Nita and Uncle Quirino. The immediate family were all there. The gift we gave to Nanay was we know she will be very happy if we go home. So everybody happy together. Second, October 15 it's Val my brother-in-law and Jie-Jie, my younger sister first wedding anniversary. They had little party and they got many visitors. Third, on the same date at night it's Cherry Lee Bebing "Che-Che my friend's birthday. We spend overnight at Alynna Swimming Pool Resort. There, me and my friends (Lea, Faith, Rea, Joy, Butz, Balong, An-An, Waren, Ate Roda, Ate Grace, Nenen, Ate Harriet, Joan and Che-Che's special someone who made her birthday special too it's Anton) spend not only Che-Che's birthday but we had a reunion as well. Fourth, October 17 Tatay's birthday. We went to cemetery and ate at Jollibee! Fifth, October 22 we celebrated the house blessing of Kuya Jojo my brother-in-law and Nenen my older sister at Las Villas, General Santos City. Sixth, October 27 we had an advance celebration of All Soul's Day, since I'm going back to Thailand on the next day. Actually we are always spending time with Tatay every Sunday even up to now. My family still go there but I can't spend it every Sunday anymore.
To include minor occassions, those were the ordinary days of everyday spending time with my family and my friends, quality time. It just happen once a year. It was a package deal indeed. Eating missed foods from our very own fastfood chains that are'nt seen here. That was worth eating for. Though I wasn't able to eat some of it, but it's great to eat from the parties I've been. Staying at home was different. Watching tv with my family, singing songs in a videoke, cooking food, cleaning the house, telling stories and eating together with my family, sometimes with friends too and it's an opportunity too, to see our neighbors too since we do have a little store, and a lot of things I did. As the saying goes, "There's no place like home". Though one important thing just didn't went out well. Sad to say it didn't but it's alright then, since we talked. He just have his reasons and I respected it someway, somehow. Well I'm still glad and happy that we had those talks, and we're back again....
The memories of my coming once again were all then serve now as my inspiration here in Thailand. Just thinking of my coming home ease the undertakings I'm going through here everyday. It's God's blessings indeed to have these everyday that I'm still alive and sharing too His blessed day of everyday.

Lala's birthday dinner cruise

It's Lala's dinner cruise birthday celebration. It's one of a kind birthday she got. Lala always have new adventures in her mind. She dares new things to happen in her life. And it's great that we join in one of her escapades. It's fascinating and amazingly great to feel such dinner cruise along Chao Phraya River of Bangkok.
It's such a fulfilling experience to dine in a cruise. It takes about 2 hours to cruise. There's a tour guide who tell us about what's on our right and left side. The river side of Chao Phraya River have many historical spots. Like well lighted ancient temples, churches thai and chinese houses and many more. While eating, the cruise is going on with our tour guide is telling us all about what we see. We have our chance to take pictures here, there with some backgrounds of the river's beautiful historical spots.
Lala invited Ajarn Suthep's family, her wife. Ajarn Chudaton, their two children, Porn and Pep who are both high school students in La Salle. The couple teaches also in the same school...They are the only thai family we got here in Thailand. Ajarn Suthep helped me to teach in La Salle College.
Just watch the pictures we got, the smiles and candid shots too...

That's the name of the restaurant

" Dali lang" (wait) Lala said...while Bing said "Ako man" (me too) . And I said too that "Dali-a nyo maagi na kita sa bridge, madula ang background" (faster, we're going to pass under the bridge we might miss the background)

See, the smile we captured the background.

See the smiles and the background too.
